Lyle William Brisch's Obituary
Lyle William Brisch, 79, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away September 21, 2025, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.
Lyle was born in Decatur on November 8, 1945, the son of John and Melba (Anderson) Brisch. He married Beverly Ann Logue on October 24, 1994, in Macon County, Illinois. They enjoyed many happy years together until her death in 2008.
Lyle was a maintenance supervisor at Caterpillar in Decatur. He had a passion for singing, and he encouraged the same in others through his popular karaoke business. He was an avid fan of classic cars. Lyle was a kind and generous man who always found ways of helping others. His personality and humor lit up the room. Most of all, he loved and cherished his family. He will be deeply missed.
Lyle is survived by his children Diana Hotwick of Mt. Zion and Kathryn Wilder of Decatur; stepchildren Shelly, Shane, Kimberly, and Dea; grandchildren Allyson Hotwick, Devin Wilder, Benjamin Hotwick, Lasasha Wilder, and Braxton Wilder; and several other beloved grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers John and Billy; sisters Shirley, Esther, Roberta, and Loretta; and nephews Kerry and Jeff.
Visitation for Lyle will be from 2pm to 3pm on Monday, September 29, at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow, beginning at 3pm. Burial will be at Mt. Gilead Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
