Detlev and Ralf,
Please accept my heartfelt condolences. I had tried locating him a few weeks ago, but was unsuccessful. I left a few messages on numbers given on the internet for Ralf. I laughed when I realized I could remembere your land line number of 60 years, but struggle with short term memory. I think back of what a powerful influence he was on me...from the swimming pool to personal responsibility. I was fortunate to catch him out in the yard a few years ago and give him a hug. Please accept our deepest condolences on the passing of your Dad/Grandpa. He was such a great example of the American dream, Always relatively quiet and hard-working. We regret that we will not be able to attend services, but hopefully we can get together in the future. May your father's grandfather's memory always be a blessing to you all!

I'm sorry I will not be able to attend the services for Lynn. As you all know, he was such an amazing man and gentleman. I thoroughly cherished the many years of walking with him at the DISC. Between the numerous races, yes, he would refuse to let me catch him. This was before we became friends and he was 82 at the time. Once he let me catch him, we had so many discussions on a myriad of topics. Books and our families were always top of the list. I will miss his sense of humor, his kind remarks, and wisdom.
