Lynn S. Workman's Obituary
Lynn S. Workman, 72, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at her home in Decatur, IL. Born on April 24, 1954, in DeKalb, IL, the daughter of Paul and Sara Jane (McMillan) Skelly.
Lynn married her beloved husband, Roger Workman, on June 5, 1982, in Illiopolis, IL. Lynn was an RN for over 30 years, working as an OB nurse at Decatur Memorial Hospital throughout her career. She was an active member at Wesley United Methodist Church for over 40 years, participating in women’s group, bible study, and delivering sermons to the children of Wesley. She loved her church and was a woman of great spirituality. Lynn enjoyed crafting and reading history, mystery, and Christian novels. She adored travel and was an avid supporter of conservation and the National Parks system. Lynn was happy, generous, and giving.
Lynn is survived by her husband — Roger Workman; children — Katie Sparr and Amy (Kyle Pickrone); honorary son — Matheus (wife, Melisa & son, Luca) Stivaletti; grandchildren — Rhydian, Josiah, and Dahlia; siblings — Kathryn Dombek, Dan Skelly, and Kristine Skelly-Sternes; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
Lynn was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother — Beverly Skelly; son — Kyle Workman; and grandchild — Judah.

A memorial service for Linda will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Decatur, IL. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
