Decatur-Lynnie Lambert, 77, of Decatur, passed away at 4:20 a.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at Fair Havens Christian Home.
Graveside services to celebrate Lynnie’s life will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2009 in Florey Cemetery in Long Creek. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society. Lynnie was born December 8, 1931 in Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee the daughter of Chester and Nellie (Pedigo) York. She was employed for twenty-four years as a bus driver for Mt. Zion Public Schools and at the AIW Union Hall for twenty-two years retiring at the age of seventy. She enjoyed bingo, bird watching, and gardening.
She leaves behind her children; Jean Huffman and husband Morris of Hammond, Illinois, Lee Ann Wiley of Decatur, Mark Lambert and wife Angela of Decatur, and Karl Lambert and wife Debra of Indianapolis, Indiana, daughter-in-law Vicky Lambert of Decatur, sisters; Dora Dalluge and husband Robert of Decatur, Mary Vance of Mt. Zion, Linda Garvin and husband Joe of Decatur, grandchildren; Michelle McCord and husband Justin, Michael Lambert, Jr. and wife Nicky, Ray Lambert and wife Lisa, Travis Wiley, Drew Huffman, Clinton Lambert and wife Joanna, Cassandra Lambert, Carrie Lambert, Caitlin Lambert, Tristin Lambert, and Taylor Lambert, and seven great-grandchildren.
She was reunited in heaven with her parents, son; Michael Lambert, Sr., and brothers; Jordan and Doug York.
