Mae O'Rita "Goofy" (Patton) Bond's Obituary
Mae O’Rita Patton’s journey began on April 5, 1956, in Forrest City, Arkansas with Emma Line Patton and Odie Patton Sr. She was the youngest of eight brothers and two sisters. She graduated from Forrest City High School. She enlisted in the United States Army in 1974. After her discharge she attended college and took residency in a few different states before settling in Decatur, IL.
She was preceded in ascension by her parents; her son; her seven brothers; her two sisters; her grandchildren, countless aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and uncles.
She leaves to honor her memory, her son, Broderick Patton; her daughters, Emma Patton, Shaquitta Patton, Ruthie (Mack) Williams; 23 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services to celebrate the life of Mae Bond will be at 12 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2020, at the Star of Hope Mausoleum, in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, at the Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Burial will be private family.
