Malvia Grace Sherwood, 95, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away February 26, 2023, at Carriage Crossing Senior Center. Malvia was born in Alton, Illinois, on November 13, 1927, the daughter of Hollis and Gladys (Fox) Franklin. After Read Obituary
Malvia was a good friend and we will miss her very much. We were so sad when she moved to Chicago with her daughter. We kept in touch with her with cards and calls. We sat in the seat behind her at Macedonia. We love Malvia and looking forward to being in heaven with her one day. She was a special blessing to us!

I’m so sorry for your loss! I knew Malvia at Macedonia. It was a pleasure to see her change over the years from an unhappy, lonely woman to a generous and giving Christian lady. She was a special friend.
Malvia was a very special and beautiful Christian lady. She always had hugs for everyone. I truly missed her when she moved to Illinois, I loved her and I will see her again one sweet day.
I loved malvia and had left Macedonia Church several years ago and lost track of her. Had to have been a God moment for me to try to find where she was and came across this. I remember a couple of times that a friend and my husband and I had to go check on her bc she wasn’t at church or her phone was off the hook and we couldn’t get a hold of her. She was a beautiful, wonderful, Christian lady, that I am so happy I got to have her in my life. My condolences to the family as they have suffered this great loss. Love you Malvia and I hope to see you again one day.
