Decatur-Margaret Helen 'Midge' Giles, 91, of Decatur passed away at 7:42 a.m. Thursday, September 27, 2012 in her home.
Services to celebrate Midge's life will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 1, 2012 at St. John's Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m. Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Burial with 'Flight Home' Ceremony will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church.
Midge was born February 11, 1921 in Decatur the daughter of Fred and Helen (Hill) Schultz. She retired from Grigoleit Company. Midge was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Midge loved Bowling and playing BINGO!!! She also enjoyed dancing, playing cards, word search, old westerns, ice cream, candy, reading books, children, her great-niece's dance recitals, her great-nephews ball games, and the Cubs. She married Clarence Everett 'C.E.' Giles November 3, 1951. He preceded her in death July 13, 1971.
She leaves behind her brother, Don (Mary Ann) Schultz, and many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews,
She was reunited in Heaven with her parents, husband, five brothers, and one sister; and daughter Helen Giles,
