Margaret A Gray's Obituary
Decatur- Margaret A. (M. Anne) Gray, 81, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Fair Havens Christian Home.
Honoring Margaret's wishes cremation rites will be accorded at Graceland/Fairlawn Cremation Center. Private family burial will take place at Fairlawn Cemetery. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1360 W. Main St., Decatur, IL 62522. Per family's request, that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Anne was born on December 15, 1930, in Pontiac, Illinois, the daughter of Joseph and Lillian Connelly. She was a retired teacher and was a member and Elder of Westminster Presbyterian Church, a member of Presbyterian Woman, Church Woman United, D.A.R. and member and President of South Shores P.T.A. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother multiple times. She was a delegate to McCall magazine's national Congress of Better Living 1961. She loved gardening and was a Master Gardner. She married Gary G. Gray in 1953.
She is survived by her husband Gary; sons Dr. Gary G. Gray Jr. (Janet), R. Douglas (Sue) Gray, daughter Julie (Tony) LaChance, sons Geoffrey (Shelia) Gray, M. Todd (Tanya) Gray, sisters Jane Montgomery, Sara (Richard) Carlson, brother-in-law Richard (Jane) Gray, sister-in-law Fran Connelly, thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Her parents and one brother preceded her in death.
