Margaret Beatrice Klunick's Obituary
Margaret Beatrice Klunick, 91, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born September 4, 1931 to Herbert and Nora (Filkin) Earl. She married Alexander C. Klunick on April 21, 1951 in Springfield, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Alexander; grandson, Alexander; son-in-law, Robert Leffler; daughter-in-law, Debbie (Glasscock) Klunick; 13 siblings and several nieces and nephews.
Margaret was a homemaker and a member of Salvation Army Women’s League, Red Hat Society, and a member of National Bowling League.
She is survived by her husband, Alex; children, Frances (Scott) Johnson, Richard Klunick, Beatrice Leffler and Joseph (J.D.) Klunick; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM Friday June 9, 2023 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Friday at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Springfield where a short viewing period will be from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM Friday at the Calvary Cemetery Chapel in Springfield.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Salvation Army of your choice, in Memory of Margaret Klunick.
The Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Margaret.
