Margaret A. Minick's Obituary
Margaret A. Minick (Odell), 84 of Alpharetta, GA, on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 died at her home.
A service of celebration will be held on Monday, December 28, 2015 at the Star of Hope Mausoleum 2091 N. Oakland Ave., Decatur, IL, Pastor Ed Kuny officiating. She will be laid to rest in Fairlawn Cemetery, Decatur, IL with her husband. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (http://www.wouldedwarriorproject.org) and or Salvation Army (http://www.salvationarmy.org).
Mrs. Minick was born on September 29, 1931 in Normal, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lelia and John Odell, her sister, Agnes Hall (Odell), her husband, Corwin Minick, and her daughter Jane Minick Palmer. She married Corwin “Cork” Minick in November 1953 in Bloomington, IL.
She is survived her brother, John Odell, Raleigh, NC, and her three children, John Minick, Flanders, NJ; Bill (Lenora) Minick, Oswego, IL; Ann (Ed) Davalos, Alpharetta, GA and eight grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
Mrs. Minick worked as an office administrator before moving with her husband to Spring City, TN. She was a graduate of Millikin University, Decatur, IL. She was formerly active in several civic and charitable organizations in the community. She loved her family, gardening, playing bridge, and her gourmet friends based in Naperville, IL. She is now with our Lord in peace and comfort.
