Margaret Bernice Parks' Obituary
Margaret Bernice Parks, 81, of Heyworth, passed away February 4, 2022 at Carle BroMenn Medical Center in Normal, Illinois.
Margaret was born in Decatur on May 13, 1940, the daughter of Thomas and Bertha (Munyon) Parks. She was a cafeteria cook at St. Patrick School in Decatur for many years. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, planning dinners, playing cards and Quarters, and shopping at Wal-Mart in the early hours of the morning. She was a spunky, joy-filled woman who loved spending time with her family.
Margaret is survived by her children Amy (Frank) Friend of Heyworth and Tamra Logue of Decatur; siblings Mary Szymkoski of Decatur, Ethel Haebich of Decatur, Patty Hoffman of Decatur, Jayne (Pete) Hanes of Mt. Zion, and Jim (Cheryl) Parks of Decatur; and grandchildren Gracie Friend, Lynnsey Friend, Jonathan Logue, and Kristopher Logue. She was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.
