Margie "GiGi" Ann Beckham-Neal's Obituary
Margie “GiGi” Ann Beckham-Neal, 96, passed at 4:20 A.M. on Tuesday (12-23-2025) at The Arc at Hickory Point, Forsyth, IL.
Margie was born on August 20, 1929, in Mt. Vernon, IL, the daughter of Guy E. Peterson and Mary E. (Baker) Peterson. She married Joel Beckham on September 17, 1949, in Mt. Vernon, IL. He passed away on January 31, 1996. She then married William Neal on August 4, 2017. He passed away on December 5, 2018.
Margie loved to go shopping for herself and others. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and feeding all the birds and squirrels in her yard. Margie really missed her sister and brothers after they had passed away. This past August she had just had her driver’s license renewed at 96 years old! You go, GiGi!!
She is survived by her children: Mark Alan Beckham and wife Michelle of Rock Hill, SC; Lisa J. Dierich of Decatur, IL; and Kimberly K. Perry of Decatur, IL; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and sister-in-law Nancy Peterson of Centralia, IL.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, daughter Kelly Ann Beckham, four brothers and one sister.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday (12-29-2025) at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. The graveside service will be following the funeral service at Macon County Memorial Park.
