Decatur – Marguerite A. “Maggie” Jackson, 105, of Decatur, passed away at 5:00 pm Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at McKinley Court.
Services to celebrate Marguerite’s life will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to the family. Online condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.gracelandfairlawn.com.
Marguerite was born July 30, 1904 in Sullivan, the daughter of Emmett and Elizabeth (Walker) Hancock. She married Cleatus Jackson on June 23, 1921 in Niagara Falls. Cleatus was employed by Citizens National Bank for 46 years, the longest employed in the history of the bank. He preceded her in death in 1978.
She leaves behind one son: Gary Jackson of Decatur, one daughter: Ramona Borders of Encinitas, California, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
She was reunited in Heaven with her husband: Cleatus, parents, five brothers, and three sisters.
