Marguerite Wolf's Obituary
Decatur-Marguerite Josephine Johnson Wolf, 94, of Decatur, passed away at 5:05 p.m. Thursday, May 27, 2010 at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Marguerite has bequeathed her body for medical education to the Mayo Foundation in Rochester, Minnesota. Her cremains will be inurned there with her late husband Henry. A memorial service will be held by the Mayo Foundation at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army Women's Ministries or the Homeward Bound Pet Shelter. Marguerite was born November 5, 1915 in Bricelyn, MN the daughter of Keal M. and Josephine (Walsett) Johnson. She was a devoted homemaker. She loved going out with her friends. She and Elsie Olschesky, her best friend, would go out for lunch together almost every day. She enjoyed her walking friends at the mall. Thursday was a highlight of the week when she attended the Salvation Army Women's Ministries with her many friends.
She leaves behind her daughter; Margy Lu Evans and husband Dale of Natick, MA, sons; Jay Wolf and wife Lou of Decatur, and Lt. Col. David Wolf and wife Barbara of New Bern, NC, granddaughters; Emily Wolf Skelton and husband Harley and Sara Wolf and fiancé Tyler Flemming, great-grandsons; Camden and Austin, step-great-grandson; Joey and her beloved cat Gwen.
The family wishes to thank Dr. James Bock, Dr. Faisal Bukhari, nurse Marge Castelli, and all the other nurses and staff on the fourth and seventh floors at St. Mary's Hospital for the loving and compassionate care they gave to Marguerite and her family.
