Maria De la Luz Baughman's Obituary
Smithfield - Maria Baughman (formerly Maria Neal) passed away peacefully on December 21, 2024, at Clayberg Nursing Center, Cuba, IL.
Maria was born on October 25, 1943, in Mexico City, Mexico, the daughter of Fernando Gallardo and Gloria Garcia.
Maria is survived by her husband, Patrick Baughman of Smithfield, IL; son, Scott Neal (Elizabeth) of Decatur IL; grandsons: Brandon Neal (Ana) of Dallas, TX, and Eliseo Briceno (Sarah) of Decatur, IL.
Brothers: Gabriel Weiner of Houston Tx, and Solomon Weiner of Albuquerque, NM, as well as many nieces, nephew’s other relatives and friends.
Maria was preceded in death by her first husband, Larry Neal of Decatur, IL, and grandson Eric Briceno of Decatur, IL.
Maria had a passion for life and loved her family dearly. Anyone who knew her knows that she never met a stranger and was kind to all. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Private family services will be held. Burial will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield, IL.
