Geneva Marie Hahn's Obituary
Decatur-Geneva Marie Hahn, 89, of Decatur, passed away at 5 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2010 at St. Mary’s Hospital with her family by her side.
Mass of the Resurrection to celebrate Geneva's life will be 11:15 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2010 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 407 E. Eldorado, with Father Jeff Grant celebrant. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral home with a vigil prayer service at 4:45 p.m. Interment with 'Flight Home' Ceremony will be in Graceland Cemetery. Geneva was born June 1, 1920 in Newton, IL the daughter of Albert and Bertha (Geltz) Huss. She was a homemaker and devoted her life to taking care of her husband, children and grandchildren. Geneva was a member of Ss. James and Patrick Parrish. Geneva married James 'Jim' Hahn on April 15, 1947 in St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Marie.
She leaves behind Jim her beloved husband for over 62 years, children- Scott Hahn and his wife Kathy of Clinton, TN., Faye Valentine and her husband Jim of Decatur, and Donna Patton and her husband Tim of Forsyth, two brothers- Raymond Huss of Champaign and Dale Huss of Broadlands, grandchildren: Dustin Hahn, Martin and wife Lindsay Hahn, Josie and husband Bobby Reynolds, Keely and husband Matt McClure, Abby and husband Carl Larson, Amber Patton and Ashley Patton.
She was reunited in heaven with her parents, brothers: Leroy, Chester, Louis, John and Clifford and sisters: Gloria Beucherie and Beulah Raef.
