Mary Lee Jargon Foley's Obituary
Marie Lee "Mary" Jargon Foley, 86, of Decatur, was called Home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
Services to celebrate Mary's life will be held on March 24, 2025,at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home in Decatur, IL. Funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m., with visitation preceding from 10:00 a.m. until the start of service. Entombment will follow at Mary Queen of Angels Garden Mausoleum in Graceland Cemetery.
Marie “Mary” Lee Jargon was born June 12,1938, in Beckemeyer, IL. She was the daughter of the late Norman L. and Alice Marie (Day) Jargon. She worked at St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur and in Central Supply at St. Joseph's Hospital and Maryvale Hospital, both in Phoenix, AZ.
She was married to Donald Dean Lewis and they had six children, all born in Decatur, IL. They moved to Phoenix, AZ December 1969, they divorced in 1973. When she retired, Mary moved back to Decatur, IL.
Mary loved music and sang Alto with her sister Joyce in the Jubilee Trio at Church and in several nursing homes. She was a member of: Osborn Baptist Church in Phoenix, AZ, and Oreana Baptist Church in Oreana, IL.
She married Edward E. Foley of Decatur on February 14, 2002, he passed away November 1, 2009.
Mary leaves behind: 5 children, Terry Lynn (Carl) Buetzow of Peoria, AZ,
Kathy Connolly of Humble, TX, Gary Dean Lewis of TX, Larry Gene Lewis of AZ, Jerry Lee (Denise) Lewis of Glendale, AZ;15 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great- Great Grandson born November 26,2024; her brother Norman (Bud) Jargon, Decatur, IL, and sister Joyce Childress of Bethany, IL; as well as several nephews and nieces.
She will be united in Heaven with her parents Norman and Alice Jargon; her daughter, Cindy Marie Kieffer; brothers, Lawrence and Ronald Jargon; and sister, Kathryn Walton.
The Family would like to give special thanks to the Nurses and Staff of the Loft Rehabilitation Center in Decatur and Melinda West Hospice Care.
