Marilyn Faye Jargon's Obituary
Decatur – Marilyn Faye Jargon, 80, of Decatur, IL, went to be with Jesus, Wednesday, October 30, 2018, following a long illness of Kidney disease.
Born November 14, 1938 in Decatur and lifelong resident of Decatur, Marilyn worked for Montgomery Ward and the Decatur Credit Union. She served Jesus Christ as a youth worker, Bible teacher and singer in the Pilgrim Holiness and Wesleyan Churches.
Marilyn was a great cook and hostess. She gathered us many times for lots of delicious food and family fun. She lost her vision in 2008 and lived the final 20 months in a nursing home. Her faith in God continued until the end. She was a great inspiration to us all.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Lafayette B. Ray and Lucille Legge Ray; husband, Ronald A. Jargon; brothers: Walter Ray and Russell Ray; sister, Bette Kerr; and stepdaughter, Rhonda Jargon.
Surviving are her adopted grandson, Jacob Jargon; brother, Richard Ray; brother-in-law, Ted Kerr; sister-in-law, Arlene Ray; niece, Anita Dalkin; stepchildren: Ronnie Jargon, Rodney Jargon and Robin Cox; daughter-in-law, Ellen Jargon; grandchildren: Nichole Morgan, LaShunne Allen, II, Stefanie Jargon, Chrysta Alexander, Truman Lowry, and Lori Mundell; great-grandchildren: Dominick Mundell and Michael Hedding.
Marilyn was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.
Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, December 3, 2018 at First Church of the Nazarene, 1177 W. Hickory Point Road, Decatur, IL 62526.
