Marilyn Stiles' Obituary
Decatur ' Marilyn Eileen Stiles, 86, of Decatur passed away Monday, January 2, 2012 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Marilyn was born on May 22, 1925 in Mt. Pulaski, IL the daughter of Jacob and Anna M. (Gulso) Erlenbush. She married Sylvan Sylvester Stiles on December 4, 1949 in Lincoln, IL he preceded her in death on August 23, 1987. She was a homemaker, baby sitter, and 'Grandmother' to many. She attended First Church of the Nazarene. Joys of her life were walking, bingo, church, and sitting on the porch enjoying visits with family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda (Bill) Whitten of Shreveport, LA; Linda Lue (Paul) Stiles-Caldwell of Decatur; Rhonda L. Goodbred of Decatur; Beverly (Jeff) Paddock of Sierra Vista, AZ; grandchildren, Jeremy (Angie) Whitten from Louisville, KY; Ranee (Kevin) Hale of Decatur; Nicole (John) Clark of Shreveport, LA; Michelle (Chris) McRoberts of Decatur; Amanda (Aaron) Wilderman of Pierceton, IN; Matthew (Amanda) Paddock of Fairbanks, AK; Brian (Lindsey) Paddock of Charleston, SC, and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother Dean Erlenbush, and two grandchildren.
Service to celebrate the life of Marilyn will be 11:00 am Friday, January 6, 2012 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home, 2801 N. Monroe Street with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery and conclude with the 'Flight Home' ceremony. Memorials are suggested to the First Church of the Nazarene Church or the family.
