Decatur-Marjorie E. Starkey, 87, of Decatur, passed away at 2:18 p.m. Tuesday, November 02, 2010 at Fair Havens Christian Home.
Services to celebrate Marjorie's life will be 1 p.m. Friday, November 5, 2010 in the chapel of Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Online condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.gracelandfairlawn.com.
Marjorie was born April 5, 1923 in Decatur, the daughter of Edgar Lee and Urcil Levina (Parks) Starkey. She was previously employed as a secretary at A.W. Cash Valve retiring after forty years of service. She was a member of Prairie Avenue Christian Church for over thirty-six years and the Decatur Barn Colony for over fifty years. She enjoyed painting, antiquing, and traveling.
She leaves behind her brother, Jack Starkey of Decatur, sister, Ethel Spracklin of San Diego, California, and several nieces and nephews.
She was reunited in Heaven with her parents and one nephew.
