Marvin "Ed" Bohm's Obituary
Marvin ¨Ed¨ Bohm, 68, of Decatur IL passed away Friday, August 27, 2021, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL.
Ed was born December 22, 1952 in Decatur, IL to Alfred and Vera (Inman) Bohm. Ed married the love of his life, Carla September 29, 1979.
If you were lucky enough to know Ed, then you knew him as a kind, loving, and caring person to everyone. The love he had for his family was amazing. Not only was Carla his wife, she was his best friend for almost 42 years. He considered being a Husband, Dad, and Grandpa one of the greatest blessings in his life.
Tiffany was always Daddy's little girl and she knew he was just a phone call away, whether it was just for a chat or she needed his help.
His beautiful granddaughters Jocelyn, Karlise, and Brintley were the light of his life. He never missed a game, a school concert, a birthday, or special event, or just to be their taxi driver. He enjoyed every minute he got to spend with them. He also loved his granddog, Jax, aka Whoodi, who he spoiled with treats and car rides.
He loved his son Bradley, grandchildren Alyssa and Brayden, and his great grandson Avery dearly. Though they lived miles apart and he didn't get to see them very much, they were very special to him.
I'm sure when he got to Heaven, he had a wonderful reunion with his son, Todd, who left this earth 5 years ago for his eternal home.
His favorite place to hang out with his friends was at Diamond's restaurant. Many dear friends and memories were made over a cup of coffee. Friends say that the coffee shop will never be the same.
He was owner and operator of Ace Janitorial for 35 years, he also owned a donut shop at one time. He worked at Warrensburg Latham school as a custodian for 6 years, and retired from St. Mary´s Hospital, after 23 years.
Ed will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Memories are precious! So rest in peace, Ed, knowing you were loved.
He is survived by his brother Rick (Linda), and sister Georgan.
Ed was proceeded in death by his parents, son, Todd, brothers, Al ¨Butch¨ and Sam and sister, Darlene.
