Marvin Leroy Hilton's Obituary
Decatur-Marvin L. Hilton, 79, of Decatur passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 in his home with his loved ones at his side.
Marvin was born October 5, 1936 in Danville, Illinois, the son of Marvin and Evelyn Hilton. He was previously employed with A.E. Staley Manufacturing Company where he worked in plant protection and the fire department retiring after twenty-four years of service. He attended Bible Missionary Church for many years. Marvin married Sandra P. Moyer June 17, 1972 in Decatur. They shared over forty-three years together.
Marvin leaves behind his beloved wife Sandra, sons Steven (Barb) Hilton of Decatur and Charles (Valerie) Stanger of Decatur, sister Donna (Harold) Stopher of Hepzabez, Georgia, grandchildren Sean Hilton, Craig Hilton, Andrew Stanger, Stephanie Stanger, and Christopher Stanger, seven great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law Kay Hay.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and daughter Penny.

The family would like to give a special thanks to longtime friend and Dr. William Franklin and his staff Sue, Patsy, and Dawn, also the Cancer Care Center, Dr. Guaglianone, and the ladies in the chemo fusion, especially Kim.
Services to celebrate Marvin’s life will be 10 AM Friday, February 26, 2016 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Thursday, February 25, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Harristown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials in Marvin’s honor are suggested to Bible Missionary Church, 1381 E. Cantrell Decatur, IL 62521.
