Marvin Shae's Obituary
Marvin Shae, 86, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015 at McKinley Court in Decatur.
Marvin was born February 26, 1929 in Chicago, to Saul and Helen (Greenburg) Shae. He was an Army veteran. He married Mildred “Peggy” Stocks on May 17, 1953. She passed away November 10, 2012. Marvin was a Ranger at Red Tail Run Golf Course. He was a member of the Decatur Bowling Association and The Decatur Golf Association.
He is survived by his three sons, Michael Shae of New York City, NY, Steve (Dara) Shae of Decatur and Todd (Julie) Shae of Decatur; three step-grandsons; six step-great-grandchildren; and his adopted German Shepherd, Michael.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Peggy and one brother.
Services to celebrate the life of Marvin Shae will be private. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to Homeward Bound Pet Shelter.
