Decatur – Mary W. Baner, 89, of Decatur, passed away at 2:22 pm Monday, March 11, 2009 at Eureka Hospital.
Services celebrating Mary’s life will be held at 10:00 am Monday, March 16, 2009 at the Star of Hope Mausoleum chapel at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the mausoleum. Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home is assisting the family with these arrangements. Mary was born April 11, 1919 in Kinmundy, Illinois, the daughter of Amos and Anna (Elder) Wilber. She married Charles Baner on November 4, 1950 in Dalton City. He preceded her in death on September 28, 2006.
She will be sadly missed by her one son: Richard (Janet) Baner of Eureka, one daughter: Barbara (John Rouse) Maves of Muncie, Indiana, one sister-in-law: Lela Wilber of Decatur, one niece: Pat Herring, and two nephews: Bob and Dick Wilber.
She was reunited in heaven with her husband: Charles, parents, and one brother.
