Pat and I offer our condolences to Mary's family upon her passing. Even when we know a loved one has lived a long life, it is still hard to let go of someone who has added so much to your life.
Aunt Mary was the first of the Knodle sisters, and in the end , the last of the Knodle sisters. It almost seems as if she was destined to be there for all of brothers and sisters for their entire lives, and only left when they were all gone. My mother, Dot, was the youngest of the sisters. She always looked up to her older sister. Even when most of my mother's memory had been taken from her she remembered who Mary was. When we visited my mother in memory care, we would often place a phone call to Mary. She was very patient with my mother, even though her conversations tend to run in circles. At the end of the calls I would talk to Mary and she would always ask how my mother was doing, and how my family was doing. That kindness was consistent with the kindness she showed me as a small boy when our family came back to Illinois in the summers. That never changed for her entire life. That kindness is how I will remember her, as I am sure will so many others.

Prayers to Mary’s family. My husband, Mike, worked for Bill Blaylock & we got to know Mary thru a party & Christmas cards every year (but this last one). What a charming & delightful person. Now, she & Bill are together again. Happy reunion you two! Judy & Mike Repinski
