Mary Virginia Boliek's Obituary
Decatur-Mary Virginia Boliek, 69, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur with her husband by her side.
Mary was born April 15, 1945 in Decatur, the son of Charles Wesley and Virginia Mae (Miller) Arnold. She graduated from Niantic-Harristown High School. She was previously employed with Decatur Memorial Hospital retiring after thirty years of service. She was a member of Sharon United Methodist Chruch and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Mary courageously battled Multiple Sclerosis for twenty-seven years. She married Stuart Boliek July 12, 1974. They shared over forty years together.
She leaves behind her husband Stuart of Decatur, daughter Mollie Boliek Crews and husband Deron of Lynnwood, Washington, her mother Virginia Arnold of Decatur, sister Karon Downs and husband Dan of Decatur, and special friend Dave Plunkett of Decatur.
She is reunited in Heaven with her father, brother John W. Arnold, and infant son Kelly.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and entire staff at St. Mary’s Hospital for all of their loving care.
Services to celebrate Mary’s life will be 11 a.m. Monday, December 29, 2014 at Sharon United Methodist Church, 4363 West Center Street, Decatur. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Long Point Cemetery in Niantic. Memorials are suggested to the Sharon United Methodist Church.
