Mary E. Campbell's Obituary
Mary E. Campbell, 93, of Decatur, died Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Imboden Creek Living Center.
Ms. Campbell was born May 20, 1918, in Decatur, the daughter of Dale and Sylvia (House) Longbons. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, Mary was a member of First Presbyterian Church for over 60 years. She was married to L. Wayne Campbell December 13, 1941 in Decatur and he preceded her in death February 10, 1998. Also preceding her in death were her parents and brother Dale Longbons, Jr.
Surviving are her sons: Steve Campbell of Decatur and Mike (Susan) Campbell of Mt. Prospect; grandchildren: Sara (Patrick) Zientara, Damien Campbell and Alison Campbell; great grandchildren: Emma, Jack and Scarlett Zientara; brother, John (Francois) Longbons of London, England; sister, Lila (John) Stogsdill of Decatur; along with many cousins and friends.
Services to celebrate her life will be 11 am Friday, December 16, 2011 in the Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home followed by burial in Graceland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the charity of choice in memory of Mary E. Campbell.
The family would like to thank in a special way Willetta Leaks and the entire staff at Imboden Creek for the gentle love and care extended to Mary and her family.
