Mary Margaret Dacar's Obituary
Mary Margaret Dacar, 71, of Decatur, IL passed away November 4, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, IL.
Mary was born November 9, 1949 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Lewis and Wilhelmina (Foley) Dacar. She had served as a librarian for the Decatur Public Library from where she had retired.
Mary was a member of First Lutheran Church. She enjoyed cooking, spending time working in the garden, canning vegetables and working with embroidery.
Surviving are her brother, Thomas Dacar (Brenda) of Rochester, IL; nephews John and Christopher Dacar and niece, Jennifer Tuttle (Louis), several cousins and two great nephews, Nathan and Aaron Tuttle.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents, and one brother, Daniel Dacar.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Memorials have been suggested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
The Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mary.
