Mary B Dodson's Obituary
Mary B. Dodson, (nee Mosser) 92, of Wheaton, IL, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022, peacefully at home. Mary was born in Decatur, IL, February 7, 1930, the daughter of Elmer G. and Anna B. (Day) Mosser. This is where she grew up and graduated from Decatur High School in 1948, and was then employed at Citizen’s National Bank. She married James O. Dodson on March 2, 1957, and he preceded her in death on March 1, 2020. Loving mother to Janis Dodson, Randall (Fiancée Susan) Dodson, Teresa (Kerby) Willis, and the late Kyle (Amy) Dodson. Cherished grandmother to Alexandra and Jonathon Willis, and Joshua and Owen Dodson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Elmer G. Mosser, George O. Mosser, William D. Mosser, Harley W. Mosser, her sister Bonnie Vest, as well as her sister in laws Pauline Mosser, Virginia Mosser, Billie Mosser, Donna Mosser, and brother-in-law Jack Vest. She is survived by sister/brother-in-law Mary & Thomas Bowman of Decatur, sister-in-law Patricia Dodson of Tomahawk, WI, and nieces and nephews. Mary was a talented seamstress, had a natural gift for sketch artistry, was an excellent cook and baker, and enjoyed dancing and golfing.
