Pastor Al Weidlich
Dear family of Mary Jane and Larry Tangney…..Earth’s loss is heaven’s gain. I remember both your Mom and Dad….but not your Dad so well…and my memory is growing fader with each passing month. I do remember he was a hard worker and took care of his family and home. But I have had the good fortune of visiting your lovely mother a few times in Taylorville when I was helping First Lutheran….The place she lived in was lovely. And the desk always seemed to know where she was. I think she remembered me a little from the 11970’s and she was always glad to have a visitor from the church she love and served so many years. Especially she told me about her work with the Altar Guild and the Woman’s society. She always had a smile, a bright outlook, and was glad to recieve the precious Holy Communion . Always brightened my day and made life happier. You found her the same..though she once or twice told me how much she missed First Lutheran and he church friends. So now, she is with the Lord and Saviour forever. I am sure her faith made a profound part in your life and helped strengthen you in the Christian faith. Your lives must be all the richer because of the lessons you learned from your parents. Take comfort that you have had such decent devout folks. I trust that , if you have children, you are doing the same for them. Peace and comfort and blessing in Christ Our Lord. Pastor Al Weidlich.
