Mary Jane Vetter's Obituary
Decatur- Mary Jane Vetter, 88, of Muncie, formerly of Decatur, entered her eternal rest on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 while living in the home of her son.
A service to celebrate the life of Mary Jane will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2012 in the chapel at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will start at 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow the service at the Pieta Mausoleum in Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Kewanee Assembly of God Church.
Mary Jane was born October 30, 1923 the daughter of Fred and Irene (Oziah) Mueller. She loved to read and instilled that love into her children and grandchildren. Mary Jane worked in Davenport and Clinton, IA and later in Decatur, IL. She volunteered with Project Read after retiring from secretarial work. She worked part-time as a tax preparer and taught children’s Sunday school for many years.
She is survived by her children, Michael (Dana) Vetter, Julie (Ray) Standerwick, and Kathy (Darrell) Pack, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Richard.
