Mary E. Watson's Obituary
Mary E. Watson, of Decatur, IL, died on May 7, 2022, at the New Jersey Veterans Home in Paramus, NJ. Born on November 25, 1921. She was 100 at the time of her passing.
Mary will be missed and remembered by her son, James F. Watson, his wife, Joanne (nee Pimpinelli), their children Vanessa Facendola (nee, Watson) and Emily Watson, and Vanessa’s husband, Adam Facendola, and her 2 great-grandchildren, James, 7, and Nicholas, 3, of New Jersey. She will also be remembered by her numerous nephews and nieces.
Mary was born on November 25, 1921, in Pittsburgh, PA, to Isador and Suzana Paternoster. She was one of 10 children from a Belgium family escaping WW2. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, and her loving husband, James G. Watson, a returning WW2 soldier, whom she married on June 28, 1942, in Folling, WV.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM, Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Graceland Cemetery at The Star of Hope Mausoleum. Visitation will be from noon - 1:00 PM Thursday at the mausoleum.
