As a boyhood friend of Mrs. Williams' nephew Bruce, I was welcomed into the Williams' home on many occasions and have fond memories of good times at her home near Lake Decatur. Mrs. Williams clearly loved her family and I am grateful to have personally experienced her kindness and warmth. Anyone who knows her will certainly also know Betty. I've seen them around town together many many times. Most recently while they volunteered for Meals on Wheels. A truly great pair of ladies. The Godwin sisters and brother Franklin will always have a special place in my heart. Thanks to my relationship with Bruce, this great family provided me with amazing memories. I was blessed to enjoy a dream adventure with Bruce and another high school friend when we were hosted by Franklin Godwin and family at his home in England for a whole month when I was just 17. Few have been so lucky.May the entire Williams, Watkins, Godwin families be blessed. I cannot possibly repay the gifts you all have given me.With love,Jay Torrens
