Matt brought so much energy to any band concert or scholastic bowl match he was at. He will truly be missed. I enjoyed getting to know him during scholastic bowl. I am praying for your family.
Matt brought a positive energy to any situation ... and that is just so hard to find anymore. He walked into a room, and you just knew you were about to smile or even belly laugh. Good guy, truly cared about your situation and remembered what you talked about the day, week, or month before. You will be missed in this world, Matthew. Anyone who met you knows you're in a better place. Take care, brother man.

I don't think I can pin down one memory that stands out more than another, but I will always remember his smile. He was always smiling and laughing. No matter the situation, he always was positive and pointed to Jesus. He truly loved the Lord above all else. Second to that was his love for Stephanie and his children. He was and continues to be, an example of showing Jesus' love to others. We will miss him greatly and can't wait to join him at the throne of our Lord and Savior. Know that he touched so many people.
The last time I saw my Dad he was visiting me in the hospital. He had a long day and instead of going home and resting he drove 45 minutes so he could see and talk to me for an hour. I feel like that just sums up the kind of person he was. No matter the circumstances he went out of his way to make sure those he cared for were happy and knew they were loved. I miss my dad, and nothing is ever going to fill the dad shaped hole in his heart, but knowing that people remember him as a loving goofball sure helps❤️❤️❤️
