Dear Arlene,

So sorry for your loss. I know you and your family took excellent care of him.. He will have many loving memories of your care and devotion. I remember the times we all went to the Trivia Contests and the knowledge and warm regards Maurry shared with the group. I am sure you are indeed blessed with many wonderful memories of your time together with Maurry and your family. I will share his service with my son Ron and his new wife, Angie. They are looking for a church which is accepting of gay and queer people as Angie is a huge supporter of gay and queer rights and led a group of these kids at the last school she taught, E Peoria HS. He is now a Vice President at Tate and Lyle here in Decatur.

Maury and I worked together for a few years. He was one of the best engineers I ever worked with and saved me many times from making mistakes especially with hydraulics. He was a quiet guy and never got the credit due but I think the good Lord is giving him credit now. He sure liked those Cornhuskers.

I was so sorry to hear of Maurey's passing. I remember his smile and good nature most from our days at Christ Lutheran. It was also good to see both you and Maurey Arlene at the Christmas and other holiday services at First Lutheran as well. My parents loved you both and it was fun celebrating their milestones at the house with good friends like the two of you. Maurey will be missed. Cheers to a life well-lived and blessings for peace! Of course I knew Maury at Cat. He started with Cat the same year I did.
He always struck me as intense about his work. I taught some of the print reading classes in Decatur and Maury was a source of help for any of the more complex questions, especially relating to tolerances.
We were not close but appreciated his knowledge about tractor scrapers and hydraulics.
