Max D. Moses' Obituary
Mt. Zion – Max D. Moses, 83, of Mt. Zion passed away on Monday, July 22, 2013 in his home.
Max was born on March 13, 1930 in Charleston, IL the son of Ernest and Sarah Lois (Crawford) Moses. He was a Veteran of the U.S. army serving during the Korean War and was a retired U.S. Postal Clerk. He married Beverly Green-Fisher on November 20, 1969 in Belleville, IL.
Surviving are his wife Beverly; son, Steve Fisher (Deborah) of Mt. Zion, IL; daughters, Becky Locke (Brent) of Decatur, IL; Shirley Lohmar (Tom) of Mt. Zion, IL; Kelli Minor (Craig) of Shelbyville, IL; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and 2 pet dogs, Bridget and Bubby.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, Greg Moses, and 2 brothers, Donald and Kenneth Moses.
Funeral service to celebrate Max's life will be 11 AM Thursday in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home with Rev. James Nash officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Findlay Cemetery in Findlay, IL. Memorials are suggested to the animal shelter of the donor choosing.
