Maxie Lee Miller's Obituary
Decatur-Maxie Lee Miller, 98, of Chesterfield, Missouri formerly of Decatur, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2017.
Maxie was born October 6, 1918 in Eighty Eight, Kentucky, the daughter of William F. and Mattie E. (Billingsley) McFarland. She married Alfred E. Miller February 4, 1940.
Maxie leaves behind her daughter Karen Miller Henselmeier and her husband Dale Henselmeier, M.D. of Chesterfield, Missouri; grandchildren Laura and (Kris) Kueker; Emily and (Adam) Harrow and John (Aimee Morris) Henselmeier, and great-grandson, Henry Kueker; and siblings Leon (Lee) McFarland , Stella Sturm, and Barbara Brown.
Maxie was preceded in death by her parents, Mattie and William McFarland; husband, Alfred Miller; and siblings Jim McFarland, Frank McFarland, William (Bill) McFarland, Lois Fair, Jeanne Grotheer, and Kenny McFarland.
Services to celebrate Maxie’s life will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 25, 207 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM prior to the services at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in the Star of Hope Mausoleum at Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
