I just heard about Maxine's death. I guess you could say I have known Maxine all my life. We lived next to Maxine and Burgess when I was born. We later moved to Elwin, IL . My parents (Loran and Clara Bower) remained friends for the rest of their lives. I continued to exchange Christmas card to her after my mother died in 2000, and she would tell me all about her live and family. Before my father died in 1988, my parents and I visited her in Decatur.I have veery fond memories of her and Burgess.My deepest condolences to the family.Barbara [email protected]

I will forever remember picking strawberries, sitting on the swing and just relaxing with Mrs. Hill. When the peonies bloom in the spring I pick a bouquet and think of her.
