Maynard E. "Tuck" Grinestaff's Obituary
Decatur-Maynard E. “Tuck” Grinestaff, 83, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Heartland of Decatur with his family by his side.
Tuck was born February 8, 1931, in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, the son of Thom and Bessye (Prophet) Grinestaff. He proudly served his country in the USMC during the Korean War. He retired from Bodine Environmental Services. He was an avid gun collector and loved Corvettes.
Tuck leaves behind his daughters Amber Grinestaff, Misty (Mike) Grinestaff-Balvanz, and Peggy Jo Lowe, sons Dale Grinestaff, Darcy (Kim) Grinestaff, and Denis Grinestaff, one brother, three sisters, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Heartland Care Center for all of their loving care.
Tuck was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed.
Honoring Tuck’s wishes cremation services will be provided by Graceland/Fairlawn Crematory. No services are planned at this time.
