Decatur-Michael Alexander, 59 of Decatur, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Richard L. Roudenbush VAMC in Indianapolis, IN.
Graveside services to celebrate Michael's life will be 10:00 am Friday, March 5, 2010 at Camp Butler National Cemetery with Pastor Elgin Hawthorne, Jr. officiating and concluding with Military Rites. Visitation will be from 6 ' 8:00 pm Thursday at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be directed to Michael's family. Michael was born on July 7, 1950 in Decatur the son of Dale and Vivian (Lee) Alexander. Michael proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was employed for several years with Airfloat as an industrial painter. He and Diana White, Michael's significant other, were devoted to each other for over twenty years.
Left behind to cherish his memories are Diana White of Decatur, his daughters Alisha White and Heather White both of Decatur, his brothers Greg Alexander and Jan Alexander both of Decatur, his uncle Davey (wife ' Dorothy) Lee of Decatur, his aunt Betty Thompson of Decatur and four very special grandchildren Hayley, Hunter, Naudia, and Dayton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
