He really was a great friend. To all who knew him, he was selfless, kind, funny, and could be a bit of a doofus but we loved every moment that we had of it. We met him back at Lakeland when we all still had classes. Every Tuesday and Thursday, he would try to make his way to Mattoon to hang out with our nerd group at my house. With his new job, it made that harder but he always tried to make time for us. That last week, he messaged me and was so excited that he could come to the house to spend his time with us..and I'm so happy that he did. That Thursday night we spent that evening laughing over so many things. We played video games and made bad cheesy jokes. We never thought it would be the last time we saw him. I just want everyone to know that his last night was full of fun and laughter. No drinking. No crazed night. But a wholesome fun night with friends. We'll miss our brother but he'll always be a part of our nerd herd. We really will miss you, Mike..nerd nights will never be the same without you.
