Michael Peck's Obituary
Michael Allen Peck left us to his hunting and fishing cabin in heaven on September 26, 2022.
Mike Peck was born on January 1, 1968 in Decatur, IL to the parents of Georgia Carr and John Peck. He was married to Jennifer Fleming on August 19, 1995. They had one child together, Zebediah Peck in 2009. Mike is survived by his parents; brothers Steven Peck (Jennilyn Price) and Andrew Peck (Darcie); sisters Sherry Young (Michael), Caty Peck (Andrew Price), and Holly Peck. Mother-in-law Pam Workman (Rick), and father-in-law Lee Fleming (Debbie). Sister in laws Susan Jones (Kevin), Tina Eades (Paul), Cyndi Hess (Jason), and Jessica Workman (Mike Horn). Brother-in-law Lee Andrew Fleming (Kris Hubbard). He was Uncle Mike to lots of nieces and nephews.
Mike was in the Army National Guard as a lightweight vehicle mechanic in his early 20’s. He worked in Construction and Fabrication before starting at Schrocks/Masterbrand Cabinets in 1994 until 2022. Mike was a lover of hunting, fishing, training his coon dogs, and spending time with family and friends. His favorite hunting buddy was his son Zeb. Mike would drop everything to help a friend, or family member. Whatever skills Mike had that he could share with someone else, or use to help another, he would do whatever he could to help. Mike was prideful, and hard-working to a fault. Mike was loyal, loving, and selfless, as a father, a husband, an uncle, a brother, a son-in law, a brother-in law, and a friend. He will be missed and his memories cherished as every day passes.
Mike was proceeding in death by his beloved son Scottie Barnett.
Visitation will be 1:30-3 Saturday October 1st at Prairie View Baptist Church in Lake City, IL. Services following facilitated by Pastor Mike Jones.
Mikes family is requested casual attire; Harley-Davidson shirts, and jeans.
