Mignon Moore Snyder's Obituary
Mignon Moore Snyder, 75, of Vero Beach, Florida died at the VNA Hospice House Saturday night April 16th after a 12-year battle against cancer.
Mignon was born in Decatur, Illinois October 18, 1935 to C. B. (Cloyd) and Audra (Bartlett) Moore, and was a graduate of Blue Mound High School, Blue Mound, IL. She had been active in a number of businesses throughout her life, including the operations of the family farm in Blue Mound. At the age of 53, she set out to be a missionary to the children of Haiti, and pursued that ministry for the next four years. There she met her future husband and together Mignon & Jackson worked in pastoral ministry & missions until her death.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Rev. Dr. Jackson Snyder; three daughters, Michelle Lewis Taylor, Marcelle Lewis Logue and Gena Lewis Schibler; thirteen grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and another on the way.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, June 26, 2011 in Hall Cemetery, Blue Mound. A memorial service was held previously in Vero Beach, Florida.
