Milburn Louis Ball's Obituary
Decatur-Milburn Louis Ball, 80, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Shelbyville Manor in Shelbyville.
Milburn was born February 19, 1934 in Decatur, the son of Henry and Jenny (Witts) Ball. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from Norfolk & Southern Railroad. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and enjoyed fishing.
He leaves behind his daughter Connie Perry, brother Delman Ball and wife Betty, grandchildren Cindy Nave, Theresa Nichols and husband Josh, and Cassie Hooper, and great-grandchildren Dajia and Brian Dalluge and Seth Perry.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Arlie Ball.
Graveside services with military honors to celebrate Milburn’s life will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, November 10, 2014 at Berea Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Monday, November 10, 2014 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3955 Lourdes Dr, Decatur. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the National Fragile X Foundation or to the family in c/o Connie Perry.
