Mildred Louise Cole's Obituary
Mildred Louise Cole, 79 of Decatur, passed away on Saturday March 21, 2020 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Mildred was born in Fountain Run, KY to Thomas Hulett and Ida Belle (Marsh) Gentry. She married Dean Cole in Decatur on October 27, 1962, he preceded her in death on February 20, 2018. She is survived by two sons: Brian (Tammy) Cole of Maroa, IL and Charles (Kimberly) Cole of Indianapolis, IN; one daughter: Deanette L. (Thomas) Wahlsmith of Chicago, IL; one brother: Lawrence (Linda) Gentry of Decatur, IL; one sister: Donna M. Gentry of Decatur; six grandchildren; one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: James C. Gentry and Lonnie Gentry.
She was an avid reader, a volunteer at the humane society in Mountain Home, AR, and was member of Salem Baptist Church, where she served as a greeter.
Private services to celebrate the life of Mildred Louise Cole will be held at Salem Baptist Church with Pastor Derek Bradshaw officiating. Memorial contributions in her name is suggested to Salem Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Point Pleasant Cemetery.
