I have tried writing this 3 times but I don’t think any of them went through. I was a friend of your mom from years ago when she had Millie Hicks Real Estate. I was a partner in LUV Realty at the time. I am still selling real estate but since my partner died I closed LUV and am at Vieweg Real Estate, north office. I remember your mom was the president of the Decatur Board of Realtors, also. When I was in Washington D.C. some years ago I made a copy of your brother’s name on the wall and brought it back to her. I have gone by your brother’s grave at Graceland many times because my son is buried there, also. I remember Millie as a very sweet, quiet person who always had a smile on her face. I live on Green Oak and my mom’s house is on Twickingham. My mom is no longer living but I go there every day to feed cats so I go past your mom’s house every day. I noticed it looked dark so I wondered if she was in the hospital or nursing home. Losing your mom is hard. Try to remember the good times. It may bring tears but memories are all we have left so hold them close to your heart.
