Muriel G. Hassebrock's Obituary
Decatur-Muriel G. Hassebrock, 85, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017 in her home.
Muriel was born July 29, 1931 in Wales the daughter of Harry and Muriel (Miller) Brown. She retired from Sears after seventeen years of service. Muriel was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Kiwaniannes, and former member of the ABWA. She was an avid collector of teddy bears and dolls. Muriel married Glen Hassebrock December 27, 1952.
Surviving is her husband Glen Sr. of Decatur, daughter Muriel (Russell) Howe of Mt. Zion, son Glen Hassebrock Jr. of Licking County, Ohio, sister Shirley (Dudley) Clarke of Oakville, Ontario, Canada, grandchildren Andrew Paul Blackburn of Mt. Zion and Andrea Marie (Michael) Hackney of Richlands, North Carolina, and great-granddaughter Kierstin Marie Hackney of Richlands, North Carolina. She is also survived by one cousin, many nieces and nephews, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Muriel was preceded in death by her parents.

Services to celebrate Muriel’s life will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 17, 2017 in Trinity Lutheran Church, 1960 E Johns Ave Decatur, with Pastor Matthew Versemann officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM Tuesday, May 16, 2017 in the Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Bethesda Lutheran Communities, 600 Hoffmann Dr., Watertown, WI 53094 bethesdalutherancommunities.org.
