Nancy Jeanette Bechtlofft's Obituary
Nancy Jeanette Bechtlofft, 75, of Pinckneyville, IL (formerly of Decatur, IL), passed away at 1:25 p.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2014.
At Nancy’s request, there will be no visitation or service. She wanted to be cremated, and a graveside service will be held at a later date.
Nancy was born on September 10, 1939, the daughter of H. Edward Jackson and Adalene F. (Johnson) Jackson. She attended Decatur public schools and graduated from Decatur High School in 1957.
She was a gift wrapper at Linn & Scruggs for several years, then became a homemaker after she married John W. Bechtlofft on June 5, 1960. Nancy and her husband were married for 52 years until his death in February, 2012.
Surviving are her brothers, Joe Jackson of Decatur; Ed Jackson (Helen) of Parrish, FL; sister, Linda Grunden (Steve) of Decatur; and several nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, John.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Newlin, Dr. Velasco, and their staffs, the nursing staffs at DMH and Heartland Rehab for the great care they gave Nancy.
