Nancy Jean Doswell's Obituary
Nancy Jean (Braden) Doswell, 83, of Decatur, passed away at 3:52 PM Saturday, February 10, 2018 in her home surrounded by fifteen family members.
Nancy was born May 19, 1934 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Alva and Erma (Cavanaugh) Braden. She worked as a LPN at St. Mary’s hospital and several nursing homes in the area. Nancy was also a cosmetologist. She was best known as the co-owner of Whispers in Decatur.
Nancy leaves behind her husband Donald Doswell, sons Gerald (Robin) Collins of Salem, Alabama, Jack (Kelly) Collins of Muscatine, Iowa, Michael Collins of Decatur, and John Doswell of Decatur, daughters Tina Collins of Hurley, New Mexico, Mary Beth (Jerry) Davis of Hurley, New Mexico, Patti Doswell of Decatur, and Debbie Sexton of Granite City, twelve grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, brother, stepfather, and grandson Damon Collins.
