Nancy Jean Schmutzler's Obituary
Nancy Schmutzler, 78, of Oreana, died Friday, June 24, surrounded by her family at home.
She was born in Edwardsville, IL to Irving and Evelyn Mount. She went to Edwardsville High School and married Donald Schmutzler in 1960. She was a babysitter for many years and touched the hearts of all the children she watched.
Nancy is survived by her children Don (Carol) Schmutzler of Forsyth, IL, Denise (Jeff) Carter of Adel, GA, and Dale Schmutzler of Oreana, IL; grandchildren Celeste Carter of Adel, GA, Claire Carter of Cary, North Carolina, Keith Schmutzler of Oreana, IL, and Sam Schmutzler of Chattanooga, TN; and brother Wayne (Tammy) Mount of Grant Fork, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years; Joan P. Garity, June R. Homes, Martha Snyder Mount, David L. Mount, and Gerald “Jerry” Mount.

Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home is providing cremation services for Nancy. A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, July 16 at Oreana Christian Church, Oreana, IL. Visitation will begin at 10am prior to the service. Memorials may be directed to Oreana Christian Church or the Oreana Public Library.
